Salary: $38.48 - $41.36 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading

About the Organization: Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (Anyinginyi Health) is a multi‑disciplinary organization that provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to 'Closing the Gap' in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.
Anyinginyi Health is made up of four different sections (Health Services, Corporate Services, Public Health Unit and Piliyintinji‑Ki Stronger Families) enabling a holistic approach to health, ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and well‑being are given the utmost priority.
Mission: Provide high‑quality holistic primary health care services featuring prevention and treatment in a culturally responsive way.
The Opportunity: Anyinginyi Health has been funded to support the implementation of recommendations from the Tennant Creek & Barkly Region report on Family Violence 2022 – "It takes a whole community approach to violence". Reporting to the Project Coordinator, the DFSV Community Connectors will support community members to access DFSV services and raise community awareness through relevant activities.
Responsibilities
* Support community members to access existing DFSV services
* Undertake community consultation to support implementation of recommendations within the Report
* Support development and delivery of DFSV community awareness‑raising activities
* Support information gathering to inform service mapping/needs assessment/gap analysis on local services available to people affected by DFSV or who have committed DFSV
* Ensure all activities align with the Northern Territory DFSV policy and practice frameworks, including the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Reduction Framework 2018‑2028 and the Northern Territory Risk Assessment and Management Framework (RAMF)
Selection Criteria
Essential
* Experience in the delivery of community‑based activities that are culturally responsive and trauma‑informed
* Willingness to engage with all different Aboriginal language groups and families
* Demonstrated task completion for meetings or events with due dates
* Prepared to undertake training and development
* Demonstrated communication skills, adapting to meet the needs of individuals in a holistic wrap‑around service model
* Demonstrated communication and act as a support to cultural responsiveness requirements to a non‑Aboriginal person
* Ability to work as part of a collaborative and multi‑disciplinary team
Desirable
* Ability to speak one or more languages of the Barkly Region
* Ability to provide accurate verbal and written reports
