Overview
It's been a very active couple of months across Melbourne. There's been a clear increase in movement, which has opened up a number of opportunities across building services consultancies.
Electrical
* Senior Electrical Engineer – Electrical Contractor – Ideal for a consultancy engineer looking for something different. Step into a D&C environment and work in construction
* Senior Electrical Engineer x2 – Tier 2 consultancies dominating high-rise apartments and mixed-use
* Electrical Team Lead – Lead a strong team across education, health, commercial and data centres (no DC experience needed). Must have led within a larger consultancy
* Senior Electrical Engineer – Project Leader – Niche high-rise group, good people, step into a leadership path
* Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centres – Straight into secured DC projects, solid pipeline into next year
* Electrical Revit Designer – Not BIM, not pure drafting. Proper design-focused Revit role for someone wanting to step up
Mechanical
* Mechanical Team Lead – Market leader in fitout/refurb, high-end/luxury projects. Step up from Senior into leading a well-established team
* Senior Mechanical Engineer – Project Leader – Run projects, own client relationships. Big money for the right person
Fire
* Senior Fire Protection Engineer – Smaller consultancy, great culture. Genuinely enjoyable place to work. Must be able to sign off
* Fire Protection Designer – Open to an Engineer or Revit Modeller. Join a team of highly capable, professional engineers delivering strong, well-coordinated projects
* Senior Hydraulic Engineer – More client-facing, more project leadership, less pure design. (Quietly one of my favourite clients)
Leadership (All Disciplines)
* Associate Director – Any discipline – Work alongside a Director to help drive a growing consultancy forward. Good foundations already in place
If you're open to a conversation about one of these roles or the market more broadly, I'm happy to talk it through.
