Richmind WA is opening a brand-new Step-Up Step-Down Service in Karratha in early 2026, and we're looking for an Assistant Manager to join us. In this role, you'll support the Service Manager in delivering safe, high-quality, recovery-oriented care, lead and mentor a passionate team, and ensure our services meet the needs of consumers, their families, and the broader community.
Every day, your work will make a tangible difference. You'll oversee referrals, Recovery Plans, and programs, manage staff support and development, and contribute to fostering a values-driven team culture.
What we're looking for:
* A tertiary qualification in mental health, community services, allied health, or a related field is required.
* Experience in mental health or community services, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
* Knowledge of mental health recovery-oriented practice and person-centred care.
* Strong skills and experience in communication, decision making, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Experience leading or managing mental health or residential services.
* Understanding of the Step‑Up Step‑Down model and experience working in regional communities.
* Lived experience of mental health recovery (personal or as a carer).
This role is full time working Monday to Friday, based at SUSD Karratha.
