We're now seeking a Credit Controller to join our Finance team and play a pivotal role in optimising our cash flow, credit risk, and rebate recovery functions.
Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller, this role plays a key role in managing and improving the end-to-end credit and collections process, from customer onboarding through to cash application and rebate recovery.
The role is focused on proactive account management, monitoring ageing and payment behaviour, and identifying practical improvements to strengthen credit controls and cash flow across Sales, Finance, and Operations.This position is ideal for a commercially aware credit professional who enjoys balancing hands-on collections with data analysis and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Credit, Risk & Collections
* Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely recovery of outstanding balances
* Conduct outbound collection calls, follow-ups, and written communications
* Negotiate and monitor payment arrangements
* Monitor aged receivables and prioritise accounts by risk, value, and ageing
* Escalate high-risk or non-responsive accounts in line with credit policy
* Contribute to credit limit reviews through ongoing assessment of payment behaviour
Ledger Monitoring & Analysis
* Review daily ageing reports to identify emerging risks and prevent escalation
* Track and analyse DSO, aged debt %, CEI, 30/60/90+ ageing, overdue exposure, and rebate recovery timelines
* Perform account-level analysis to identify recurring disputes, delays, or process gaps
* Provide clear, concise commentary on ledger movements and collection performance to management
Process Improvement
* Map end-to-end billing, credit, and rebate processes across retail, builder, and rebate channels
* Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Work with stakeholders to document and embed new workflows and SOPs
* Support system automation and data integrity across Xero, Salesforce, and rebate platforms
Rebate & Adjustment Management
* Track and follow up rebate-related receivables and outstanding adjustments
* Reconcile rebate claims and identify aged or stalled items requiring escalation
* Analyse rebate recovery delays and flag compliance or process risks impacting recoverability
Compliance & Governance
* Ensure all collection activity, notes, call tagging, and communications are accurately documented and audit-ready
* Adhere to internal credit policies and Australian Consumer Law
* Support consistent application of credit and collection controls across the ledger and customer base

You Must Have
* 2 - 4 years' experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or related financial reporting roles.
* Strong skills in Google Sheets and Excel, with experience creating reports and analysing AR data.
* Hands-on experience using Xero, Salesforce, or similar ERP/CRM systems.
* Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret ageing and performance trends.
* High attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
* Process-driven mindset with a focus on improving collection outcomes and efficiency.
* Exposure to rebate programs or government incentive schemes (highly regarded).
