Job Title: Boilermaker Fabricator
Location: Pakenham
We are seeking 3 x Casual Boilermaker Fabricators to join our growing team. You will be fabricating complex components from mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium in a modern, well-equipped workshop, delivering high-quality results for defence and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricate steel structures and pressure equipment using detailed engineering drawings and specifications
* Perform welding using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW techniques
* Prepare and finish welded surfaces using grinders, cutters, and related tools
* Set up welding equipment according to weld procedure requirements
* Ensure welding meets X-ray and NDT standards, including AS3992 and Lloyds
* Maintain welding tools and equipment through regular cleaning, repairs, and part replacements
* Accurately interpret technical drawings
* Collaborate with other trades and project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
* Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures
* Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workshop
What We're Looking For
* Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator with structural and pressure equipment experience
* Hands-on experience with pipe spooling
* Advanced welding abilities: MIG, TIG, and FCAW
* Ability to meet stringent quality inspection requirements, including X-ray and NDT
* Familiarity with AS3992, Lloyds, and DNV welding codes
* Experience operating pressing and rolling machines for mild and stainless steel
* Excellent attention to detail and solution-oriented approach
* Strong team player with a safety-first mindset
