**Permanent, Full-time opportunity**:

- **Band 3 salary range is between $66,985 to $71,110 inc allowances + 12% Super**:

- **Fortnightly RDO.**

**About the role**:
Join the City of Ballarat's Operations team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our civil infrastructure, parks, gardens, streetscapes, and high-profile public spaces. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in contributing to the presentation and safety of our city.

As part of the Rapid Response crew, you'll respond to short-term reactive and emergency works across a wide range of operational functions. Whether it's addressing urgent maintenance issues or supporting broader infrastructure projects, your ability to act quickly and effectively will be highly valued.

You'll operate and maintain a variety of plant and equipment to carry out maintenance activities safely and efficiently. A strong focus on safe work practices, teamwork, and a can-do attitude is essential, as you'll be working toward achieving Council's goals and delivering high-quality outcomes for the community.

**About You**:
You're a skilled and collaborative professional with a background in horticulture/ arboriculture or Civil Maintenance ready to contribute to the care and maintenance of Ballarat's public spaces.

You bring:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to work effectively with team members, contractors, government authorities, and the public.
- A cooperative and team-oriented approach, working seamlessly with colleagues, volunteers, and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- A Certificate III in Civil Maintenance, Horticulture, Arboriculture, Landscaping, or a related trade.
- Hands-on experience in horticultural or arboricultural maintenance, including the safe operation of mechanical plant and hand tools.
- A current Victorian Medium Rigid Truck Licence, allowing you to operate vehicles and equipment essential to the role.
