The Role
MSF Sugar is seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter / Boilermaker / Welder to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis at the Mulgrave Central Mill in Gordonvale.
In this role, you'll play a key part in the rail welding, fabrication, mechanical repair and maintenance of cane rail mobile plant and equipment, helping to ensure the safe and efficient running of our operations. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your trade skills in a well-established and supportive team environment within the sugar industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Rail welding, cutting and aligning
* Fabrication and repair of rail bridge components
* Fabrication and repair of cane rail mobile plant and equipment
* Mechanical repairs of plant and equipment
* Routine inspections and preventative maintenance
* Ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures
What We’re Looking For
* Be a fully trade qualified Fitter / Boilermaker / Welder
* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Be self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team
* Hold additional tickets / licences such as Loader, Franna, Dogger (advantageous)
* Have sugar milling experience and an understanding of milling operations (advantageous)
