About PYMHWS Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.
We deliver care that is accessible, inclusive, developmentally appropriate, evidence‑informed and grounded in lived experience, underpinned by a commitment to safety, equity and continuous learning.
The Opportunity Senior Neuropsychologist will provide specialist neuropsychological assessment, consultation, formulation and intervention for young people presenting with complex mental health, neuro‑developmental, cognitive and behavioural needs within the Youth Forensic Assessment, Consultation and Treatment Service (YFACTS).
Work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to support diagnostic clarification, comprehensive formulations, treatment planning, risk management and system responses, and to inform the broader forensic youth mental health program across Victoria.
What You’ll Do
Deliver comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and diagnostic clarification (ASD, ADHD, ID, ABI and related conditions).
Lead integrated formulations linking cognitive, developmental, trauma and forensic risk factors.
Provide expert secondary consultation to services across Victoria.
Translate complex neuropsychological findings into practical, implementable strategies.
Contribute to multidisciplinary decision‑making, care planning and risk management.
Provide clinical leadership, supervision and workforce development.
Support statewide capability building and system improvement.
About You
Registration as a Psychologist with Neuropsychology endorsement (AHPRA).
Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior/Grade 3 Psychologist.
Advanced skills in assessment, formulation and risk‑informed practice.
Experience working with neuro‑developmental conditions in complex/high‑risk populations.
Strong capability in consultation, systems work and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to operate autonomously at a senior level while contributing to team leadership.
Commitment to trauma‑informed, developmentally appropriate and culturally safe care.
