Job Description: Procurement Coordinator
The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels. Our procurement/purchasing team plays a vital role in delivering key purchasing tasks and ensuring clear communication with the Tasmanian Health Services in the North. The team collaborates to achieve optimal service outcomes.
The Role :
As a Procurement Coordinator, you will:
1. Coordinate procurement of relevant goods and services for THO-North and support the Statewide Purchasing team.
2. Manage team (people) management and training, including handling complex purchasing scenarios, leave, RDOs, and prioritising daily workloads.
3. Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and maintain training plans for both new and existing procurement staff.
4. Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and Treasury Guidelines by Procurement Officers.
5. Engage with departments at Launceston General Hospital and key stakeholders such as Nurse Unit Managers and Ward Aides. This role also involves procurement for district hospitals and off-site clinics.
Duties :
* Oversee procurement functions for goods and services for THO-North and assist in the rollout of new equipment.
* Supervise procurement staff, including performance evaluations, training, and maintaining training plans.
* Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and Treasury Guidelines.

Appointment Details :
* Permanent full-time position, working 76 hours per fortnight, with hours negotiable.
* This selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies over the next twelve months.
Salary :
Range of $81,915 - $94,263 per annum, plus employer superannuation contribution of 11.5%. Salary is in accordance with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
Salary Packaging :
Access salary packaging options including benefits up to $9,010 for living expenses and $2,650 for meal entertainment per FBT year, among other benefits.
