Details: Amaroo School is located in the Gungahlin region and is the largest ACT public school with more than 1,700 students across Preschool to Year 10. Our student profile represents a highly diverse and multicultural background with over 40% of our students having a language background other than English.

The office manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operational, administrative, and compliance functions that supports all administrative functions across a P-10 setting. This position delivers exceptional customer service and support to students, families, staff, and visitors, consistently applying a solution focused approach.

Working under general direction, the position leads the Front Office team by ensuring efficient workflows, effective supervision, and targeted training. They oversee the excursion process, first aid, as well as managing electronic systems such as Sentral and coordinating sensitive student documentation. In addition, the role provides technical and professional support to staff, fostering a culture of reliability and responsiveness.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

* Demonstrated experience in School Administration System (SAS).
* Demonstrated knowledge of the Education Directorate's current excursion procedures.
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra )
* First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training.

Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
