Health, Safety & Environment Advisor – FIFO – Solar Farm – Mount Isa
Job Ref: 267122 – This role supports a new solar farm construction project in Mount Isa, extending existing solar assets. The project builds on UGL's earlier work in Mount Isa, completed in 2021, and involves a greenfield extension that connects into an existing live solar farm, blending new construction with brownfield interfaces.

About the role
The Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor will support site delivery on a large‐scale renewable energy project. You'll report to the onsite HSE Manager and work closely with the broader project delivery team. The role is hands‐on and split between field work and the site office, focusing on visibility, compliance, safe work practices and consistent application of UGL's HSE Management System.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide practical, day‐to‐day HSE support across site activities.
* Support pre‐starts, toolbox talks and on‐site safety conversations.
* Complete regular site walks and inspections to keep standards on track.
* Assist with incident reporting, investigations and follow‐up actions.
* Manage HSE documentation, reporting and compliance with UGL's HSE Management System.

About you
* Experience as an HSE Advisor in heavy industry (construction, power, oil & gas, mining or similar).
* Willingness to FIFO on a 10/4 roster and ability to travel via Brisbane for early flights to Mount Isa.
* Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent).
* Ability to work autonomously while remaining highly team‐focused.
* Strong site presence and a practical approach to compliance.
