The Opportunity
The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and clinical leadership of the facility. This includes ensuring resources are managed effectively, compliance is maintained, and residents receive high‐quality, person‐centred care. You will work closely with the Regional Manager Residential Care and the Care Manager to achieve strong performance across service quality, workforce culture, resident satisfaction, and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
As the Facility Manager, you will lead the overall operations of Ainslie Low Head to ensure residents receive high‐quality, person‐centred care. Your responsibilities include:
* Providing strong, supportive leadership to all staff and promoting a positive, collaborative workplace culture
* Ensuring staff follow SCC policies and procedures, and supporting training, development, and performance management
* Managing the facility's financial performance, including budgets, occupancy, AN‐ACC funding, and cost‐effective rostering
* Overseeing day‐to‐day service delivery to ensure care plans, documentation, and practices meet resident needs and regulatory standards
* Maintaining compliance with accreditation standards, aged care legislation, safety requirements, and reporting timeframes
* Leading continuous improvement activities, including audits, incident management, risk reduction, and implementing corrective actions
* Engaging respectfully with residents, families, and stakeholders, responding to feedback and concerns promptly
* Ensuring the effective use and maintenance of facility equipment, assets, and resources
* Modelling SCC's Mission, Vision, and Values, fostering dignity, respect, and high‐quality care
* Promoting a safe work environment through strong WHS practices and proactive hazard management
What You'll Need
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader who brings:
* Proven high‐level management experience, ideally within aged care or health services
* Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation, legislation, and contemporary care practices
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage change, and build a positive culture
* Strong organisational and time‐management skills, with the ability to coordinate staff and operational activities
* Financial management experience, including budget oversight and resource allocation
* Sound judgement and the ability to lead effectively in challenging or crisis situations
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written reporting capability
* Ability to meet "Key Personnel" requirements of the Aged Care Act 1997
* Postgraduate qualifications in management
* 5+ years' experience in aged care leadership
* Extensive understanding of aged care funding models, including AN‐ACC
Compliance Requirements
* National Police Check
* Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (NDIS endorsed)
* Evidence of required vaccinations or medical exemption
* Signed SCC Confidentiality Agreement
