Job Summary
As a Community School Health Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering a range of services to support the health and wellbeing of children and families in schools.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of primary schools providing agreed elements of the Healthy Child Programme.
* Deliver interventions to support children and families with specific health concerns and make referrals to other services as needed.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to supporting children's health and wellbeing.
* Establish effective links with local healthcare providers, voluntary agencies and community groups to promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of children and young people.
Requirements
* Active registration as a qualified Nurse on part 1 of the NMC register, or an NMC registered midwife.
* Safeguarding Children Level 6 module (or willingness to obtain).
* Good literacy, numeracy and proficient IT skills.
* Ability to work effectively with diverse communities, including those with additional vulnerabilities.
