Role Overview
The Neuropsychology Graduate role is an integral part of the Psychology Services team at the Royal Hobart Hospital, which falls under the Department of Health Tasmania. This multidisciplinary team comprises clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, and health psychologists who collaborate effectively across various inpatient and outpatient settings.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide evidence-based, best practice neuropsychological services to pediatric and/or adult patients attending the RHH, including but not limited to, neuropsychological assessment and interventions for patients with brain injuries, cognitive impairment, behavioral or developmental concerns.
* Prepare comprehensive clinical documentation and neuropsychological reports as necessary.
* Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team to provide clinical care to patients, including active engagement with relevant stakeholders and multi-disciplinary team case discussions and family meetings to assist in the management of neuropsychological conditions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. A strong understanding of neuropsychology principles and practices, along with experience in conducting assessments and developing interventions, is highly desirable.
