Security Governance Officer Role
We are seeking a Security Governance Officer to join our Security Operations team. This role will play a key part in ensuring that our security program supports business objectives.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will take a lead role in connecting security initiatives to compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements. They will work closely with business, information security, and technology leadership to ensure that our security program meets industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with various stakeholders to act as an interface between business operations and security program management;
* Facilitate collaborative working, communication, and cross-skilling between Security Operations and Quality Assurance teams;
* Develop and maintain a security risk management program, including implementing risk mitigation efforts to reduce exposure to security risk;
* Monitor compliance with Management System requirements and relevant industry and regulatory standards;
* Advise and/or alert the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on security situations of a critical nature that may impact business operations;
* Assist in establishing strategic plans, policies, goals, and objectives for the implementation of relevant management systems.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have significant experience within a security role or equivalent. They must be an acknowledged expert in the relevant discipline with recognised broad-based experience. The candidate should also have extensive knowledge across a broad spectrum of security risk management and mitigation strategies.
