About the Role
Operating within the Institute for Learning Sciences & Teacher Education (ILSTE), the Associate Professor/Professor of Education Data and Evidence will report to the Director of ILSTE and collaborate closely with the NSE and other academic and professional staff across the university. The role requires leading and contributing to the Institute's research and engagement profiles, producing high‐quality research, providing research leadership, attracting HDR students and securing competitive grants, and supporting research‐based teaching. The successful candidate will develop partnerships with industry, government and other stakeholders to expand opportunities for collaboration on key issues related to data, evidence and technology, including GenAI, and will strategically promote ILSTE and the Faculty of Education and Arts in alignment with the university's mission and strategic plans.

* Total remuneration valued to $202,272 – $222,654 total remuneration (pro rata) per annum, including salary component $171,352 – $188,772 (pro rata) per annum for Associate Professor, and $260,037 total remuneration (pro rata) per annum, including salary component $220,723 (pro rata) per annum for Academic Level E Increment 1, with employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. The level of appointment will be determined based on experience, skills and capability of the successful candidate.
* 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed‐term staff.
* Annual leave loading equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on commencement date.
