The role:

Manage a comprehensive review of the current device testing model and lead the search for future vendor partners. This role will ensure the device testing approach remains aligned with best practices in the Australian telco market.

The successful candidate will not only assess and optimise our existing processes but also run a tender process to identify and evaluate device testing vendor partners who can support our long-term strategy. If you haven't worked in Teclo extensively, this role won't be right for you.

It's an initial 6-month contract with likely extensions. Hybrid work week with 3 days in office - Macquarie Park

Key responsibilities

* Benchmark existing device testing processes and lab setup against industry standards and peers
* Identify opportunities to optimise and modernise workflows, including automation and improved test coverage
* Provide recommendations for updates to test tools, methodology, and resource allocation
* Lead a tender/RFP process to identify and evaluate external device testing vendor partners
* Conduct discovery and scoping activities, engaging stakeholders to define requirements and success criteria
* Develop detailed costings, timelines, and process recommendations for internal review
* Prepare supporting documentation and reports to enable clear decision-making by senior stakeholders

About you

* Strong background in device testing, certification, and QA within telecommunications
* Hands-on experience with testing and validation of a wide range of telco devices and platforms eg: Modems/Routers/ 3G/4G/5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi/Smartphones
* Strong Knowledge of Automation
* Proven experience in benchmarking and optimising testing processes at scale
* Knowledge of industry best practice approaches used by major Australian telco operators
* Demonstrated ability to run vendor tenders/RFPs, including evaluation, negotiation, and recommendations
* Skilled in cost modelling, project timelines, and process documentation
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations
