This is a Senior Network Technician role with RACV based in Melbourne, VIC, AU RACV Role Seniority - senior More about the Senior Network Technician role at RACV RACV Head Office Melbourne | Hybrid Opportunity 2-year Fixed Term opportunity Competitive salary | Discounts on RACV products About the opportunity RACV is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support, maintain and evolve our enterprise data and voice networks across corporate, leisure, retail and contact centre environments. Reporting to the Network Team Leader, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the availability, performance and security of RACV’s network and telephony services. You’ll work closely with architects, vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions while contributing to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement. This role includes participation in a 24/7 on-call support roster. What you'll do Provide senior-level operational support for RACV’s data and voice networks in line with SLAs. Resolve incidents, problems and service requests using ServiceNow, acting as an escalation point for major incidents. Design, deploy and maintain enterprise network technologies including routing, switching, firewalls, wireless and VoIP services. Act as a subject matter expert on projects, supporting planning, delivery and transition to BAU. Collaborate with architects on solution design, technology roadmaps and vendor reviews. Manage third-party vendors to ensure service delivery, performance and governance standards are met. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, post-incident reviews and operational reporting. Ensure compliance with ICT policies, security standards and regulatory obligations. What we’re looking for 5 years’ experience in a senior network engineering role. Strong expertise in IP networking, routing, switching, QoS and network security. Hands-on experience with technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet and Palo Alto. Experience supporting VoIP, SIP and MPLS environments. Knowledge of cloud connectivity (Azure and AWS). Excellent troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP and ITIL (desirable). Why join us?
