Nessco Trade Supplies is a WA-owned provider of Construction & Industrial Supplies. Operating for over 30 years, we sell direct to trades as well as to retail clients, with key ranges including fasteners, adhesives & abrasives, cabinetry hardware & consumables, compressed air supplies, PPE, tools and workshop supplies. Our head office & trade counter is located in Welshpool, WA, along with a branch office in Victoria, while our customer base extends throughout Australia. Our aim is for Nessco to provide an easy and dependable buying experience, time after time. Due to business growth and an exciting range of initiatives to execute, we require a suitably experienced Business Development Manager to join our team based in Welshpool.
The Role:
Reporting to the Victorian Branch Manager, this role is focused on developing and expanding Nessco's footprint within the cabinet making and joinery industry across the Eastern Suburbs of Victoria.
Key responsibilities include:
* Driving new business growth within cabinet makers, joiners and shopfitters
* Managing and expanding an existing portfolio of cabinetry clients
* Achieving sales KPIs, margin targets and revenue growth objectives
* Identifying opportunities to supply hardware, consumables and workshop products
* Conducting site visits, product presentations and relationship building meetings
* Generating new leads through proactive prospecting and industry networking
* Introducing customers to Nessco's online procurement platform
* Identifying cross sell opportunities into related industries where applicable
While the primary focus is cabinet making, experience across construction, modular housing, steel framing or other industrial sectors will be highly regarded.
This is a strategic growth role suited to someone who understands the cabinetry production environment and can position Nessco as a long term supply partner.
About You:
* Proven experience in business development or external sales
* Strong understanding of the cabinet making or woodworking industry
* Experience selling hardware, consumables or industrial supplies preferred
* Demonstrated success in winning new business and expanding territories
* Commercially minded with a solid understanding of margin and profitability
* Strong relationship builder with the ability to influence decision makers
* Self motivated, disciplined and results driven
Experience across broader construction or industrial sectors is advantageous but not essential.
