**About the role**
Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supplier and contractor relationships to ensure the best trading terms for the ALPA group.
**This position is based in Darwin and will require relocation**
**Responsibilities**
- **E**ngage and negotiate with suppliers to develop ALPA's stock range
- Review Retail supplier payment terms to ensure best payment terms are in place
- Implement, monitor, and control store specific ranging
- Collaborate with Area Managers regarding stock ranges in stores ensuring ranges are compliant with ALPA's nutrition policy
- Co-ordinate both in-store and group investment purchasing
- Manage and review all retail contracts and service providers to ensure contract terms are met

**Skills and Experience**
- A minimum of three years' experience in a retail buying role.
- Experience in contract management and negotiation.
- High-level skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- An unrestricted NT C class driver's license or ability to obtain.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities, and ethnic origin.
