The opportunity
As a System Administrator, you will manage and support Windows infrastructure through installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, and resolving ICT incidents and requests. You'll work both independently and collaboratively to deliver high quality client support, contribute to upgrades, maintenance, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives, while staying across emerging technologies.
You Will Also Be Responsible To
* Provide high‐quality technical support, working independently to prioritise and manage your workload.
* Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and reports that meet ITP standards.
* Collaborate on system upgrades, testing cycles, maintenance activities, and change releases.
* Apply analytical problem‐solving skills to identify effective solutions within planned timeframes.
* Contribute to operational programs, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Participate in an after‐hours on‐call roster when required.
What We Are Looking For (qualifications, Registrations, Experience)
* Demonstrated sound understanding of contemporary digital and information technology concepts and service delivery relevant to a large organisation.
* Demonstrated experience in the following:
o Compute: Windows server administration, patching and server builds – VMware, Azure, AWS, HyperV, Physical Windows
o Database Platform: MS SQL server administration, patching and server builds – MS SQL running on Windows Server, AWS (PaaS), Azure (PaaS)
o Web/ Application Platform: IIS web server administration, patching and server builds and IIS administration
o Support Tools: JIRA
* Ability to present technical information in plain language, verbally and through writing, to end‐users and technical operators.
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
Desirable Skills
* Demonstrated experience or the ability to quickly learn Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management processes.
* Experience in the following:
o Microsoft Operations Manager
o Microsoft Configuration Manager
o PowerShell
o Terraform with GitHub
o Active Directory
o Backup, restoration and storage
o Azure and AWS Application platforms
