Production Supervisor (Afternoon Shift)
Location: Richlands, QLD
We're looking for an experienced, people‐focused Production Supervisor to lead a high‐performing Afternoon Shift. You'll drive safe, high‐quality output, lift team capability, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
This is a hands‐on leadership role where success is measured by how effectively you develop your people, deliver the production plan, and raise performance, safety and quality — every shift.

Key Responsibilities – What You'll Own
* Lead, coach and engage the Production Team to build capability, drive accountability and achieve consistent safety, quality and production outcomes.
* Deliver production plans aligned to ATP and OEE targets, ensuring volume, efficiency and waste objectives are met each shift.
* Recruit, onboard, induct and retain a capable production workforce to maintain stability, capability and engagement across the shift.
* Embed a strong safety and compliance culture by ensuring full adherence to WHS, GMP and Food Safety requirements at all times.
* Identify issues early, escalate appropriately and lead root cause investigations to prevent recurrence and continuously improve OEE.
* Ensure operators are trained, competent and following standard work to reduce variation, rework and quality issues.
* Set expectations, review performance and address gaps promptly to strengthen team capability and alignment with operational goals.
* Run purposeful daily SBU meetings, toolbox talks and shift handovers to ensure clear communication, aligned priorities and timely resolution of issues.
* Collaborate closely with QA, Maintenance and Operations Training to improve safety, quality and production outcomes through effective cross‐functional engagement.
* Maintain audit‐ready operations and report any deviations immediately to uphold compliance and protect product integrity.
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, reliability and team engagement.
* Maintain accurate and timely rosters, timesheets, training records and production reporting to support effective workforce planning, compliance and performance visibility.
What You Bring:
* Proven experience leading teams in a production or manufacturing environment
* Strong communication, coaching and decision-making abilities.
* Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
* Confident with digital systems (MRP/QAD/Scada preferred).
* Practical Lean experience with the ability to apply continuous improvement thinking on the floor
