We are seeking a highly organised Facilities Coordinator to support the Facilities Maintenance Manager in the planning and coordination of infrastructure activities, minor new works and small projects across all West Gippsland Healthcare Group sites. This is a pivotal role that ensures our facilities remain safe, functional and compliant, supporting patients, visitors and staff.
The Facilities Coordinator will act as a central point of contact for allocated works, provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders and oversee designated leased facilities. You will also contribute to infrastructure planning, support governance processes and help manage resource allocation to deliver cost effective outcomes in line with organisational priorities.
You will bring strong organisational and coordination skills, experience managing facilities or infrastructure activities across multiple sites, and highly effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Experience with minor building works project coordination and a qualification in facilities, building services, trades or asset management will be highly regarded.
Our preferred candidate will have:
* Certificate or Diploma in Facilities Management, Building Services, Asset Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Experience coordinating facilities or infrastructure activities across multiple sites.
* Strong organisational and coordination skills.
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Basic project coordination experience for minor works.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
* Project Management qualification.
* Knowledge of compliance requirements such as asbestos and fire safety.
* Familiarity with asset management systems or software.
* Experience in security and carpark operations.
* Exposure to governance and review of asset management strategies.
IMPORTANT:Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
