We're on the lookout for a motivated and experienced Account Manager to join a national commercial furniture company, supporting a major government contract in the education sector. Based in Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, you'll be part of a collaborative team driving growth and service excellence. Here's what you'll get:

ROLE EXPECTATIONS:
This is a critical role where you'll lead the growth and success of our education contract portfolio. You'll be responsible for:
- Managing Department of Education contract accounts and ensuring client satisfaction
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across the education sector
- Conducting on-site meetings with school administrators, procurement teams, and facility managers
- Preparing customised furniture solutions, including quotes and tender submissions
- Working closely with internal teams (design, logistics, project management) to deliver outstanding results
- Tracking sales pipeline and activity, and reporting on performance metrics
- Hitting individual sales targets and contributing to team success
CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS:
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a solid background in account management or B2B sales, ideally within the commercial interiors or office furniture space. We're looking for someone who has:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in account management or business development
- Proven success managing large public sector clients or government contracts
- A deep understanding of education procurement processes (public and private)
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- A self-driven, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
- A valid driver's licence (essential for the role)
- Experience in preparing proposals or tender documents is a strong advantage
