The Role

We are seeking a motivated applicant with a passion for teaching Health and Physical Education at the secondary level, possessing a solid understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. In your role as a Health and Physical Education Teacher, you will deliver a curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of all students, fostering an environment where every student is empowered to reach their full potential. Your dedication to academic excellence and high-quality teaching and learning will set the standard for our learning community. Opportunities to teach ATAR, General, School Based Certificate and Endorsed Program classes are available, and experiences across senior school courses is desirable but not essential.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Eastern Goldfields College in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $3 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
* hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website.
* apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
* consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
