About the role
This is an opportunity for an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join the team supporting one of Victoria's Emergency Services fleets.
You will be responsible for the mechanics of a diverse range of heavy vehicles and equipment crucial for protecting the community.
Responsibilities
Work on a variety of vehicles and assets, including heavy diesel trucks, pumper, rescue vehicles and equipment (similar to crane or scissor lifts).
Pumps, hydraulics and electrical systems specific to emergency response vehicles.
Perform fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety standards.
About you
Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter with experience working on fleets of heavy road transport or specialised equipment and holding an Australian Trade Certificate as a Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mechanic.
Experience in fault diagnostics, and repair of heavy vehicle hydraulic, electrical systems and pump systems is highly desirable.
Current Driver's Licence (Heavy Rigid) or willingness to obtain; a bonus if you have one.
Willing to undergo a national police check.
