Your Team
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary Technology team, working closely with business, software vendors and partners to develop, implement and maintain systems that support customers through all aspects of the insurance value chain.
Your Role
Reporting to the Business Analysis & Change Practice Manager, you will be the Practice's technical expert and most senior BA practitioner.
This role is focused on three things: upholding and evolving BA quality standards across the portfolio, leading BA activities during concept phases, and driving the Practice's AI capability through hands‐on tool development.
You will work alongside BAs at all levels — sharing expertise, role‐modeling best practice, and contributing to Practice sessions — with people leadership and career development remaining with the Practice Manager.
Your duties and responsibilities
* Provide technical coaching and skills development to 45 Business Analysts across all capability levels (Junior to Lead BA), focusing on core BA skills including requirements elicitation, stakeholder analysis and engagement, process mapping, user story writing, impact assessment, and effective use of BA tools and templates
* Conduct capability assessments to identify skill gaps and develop targeted coaching interventions, training materials, workshops, and knowledge‐sharing sessions on BA methodologies, tools, and emerging industry practices.
* Co‐facilitate BA Practice sessions and uplift programmes to enhance technical capability, share learnings, and embed best practices across the Practice.
* Lead the BA Practice's AI capability uplift by designing and building AI‐powered tools, prompt libraries, artefact templates, and workflow automations using Hollard‐approved tools (including Claude and Microsoft Copilot). Act as the Practice's hands‐on AI innovator, translating emerging AI capabilities into practical, reusable assets that enhance productivity and quality across the cohort.
* Establish and monitor quality gates at key milestones, ensuring adherence to Practice standards and governance across all projects
* Collaborate closely with the Business Analysis & Change Practice Manager, EPMO, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
About You
* Demonstrated experience in delivering Business Analysis activities across the full delivery lifecycle (concept, planning, delivery, implementation), including project scoping, process modelling, and requirements management.
* Strong coaching and mentoring skills to technically develop business analysts at various capability levels, with a track record of successfully uplifting BA technical capability.
* Must have experience within Agile delivery environments, large enterprise programmes, and technology transformation initiatives
* Good Industry/business knowledge of the Australian Insurance market, with demonstrated experience in General Insurance and understanding of APRA regulatory requirements and their implications for business analysis activities
* Demonstrated hands‐on experience developing AI‐powered tools, templates, and workflow automations — not just using AI tools but building with them.
* Experience using large language models (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot) to develop practical BA assets including prompt libraries, AI‐assisted artefact templates, and automated BA workflows.
