Overview
Exciting opportunity to join one of Melbourne's largest municipalities. The City of Brimbank is the second largest municipality in metropolitan Melbourne, located about 10 kilometres west of Melbourne. The role
Reporting to the Director – Corporate Services, we are seeking an Executive Assistant who can bring their skills and experience to:
* Provide general executive support and secretarial and high level administrative duties to the Corporate Services Director.
* Coordinate registrations, itineraries, accommodation, meetings and travel arrangements for the Corporate Services Director.
* Manage the Corporate Services Director's diary and ensure the Corporate Services Director's availability to attend to and/or be informed of all Council business as it arises requiring his/her attention.
* Keep the Corporate Services Director informed on all critical matters that may have repercussions on the organisation by ensuring all correspondence are dealt with in the best possible way.
* Prepare high quality correspondence, reports, agendas, presentations and other documents as required by the Corporate Services Director.
* Provide high quality customer service and liaise with key stakeholders on behalf of the Corporate Services Director.
To be considered you will have
* Demonstrated experience in delivering high quality customer services and professional executive support services to senior executives.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills with a positive diplomatic approach, political savvy and the ability to establish productive working relationships with a variety of people.
* Capacity to manage workflow priorities, work in a team and meet deadlines in an effective manner with well-developed time management and organisational skills.
* Highly developed relationship management skills, with a positive diplomatic approach and flexibility of style, and the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of people.
* Excellent working knowledge and experience with the full MS Office Suite.
* Local government experience is desirable
