Recovery Journey Support Specialist
We are seeking a Recovery Journey Support Specialist to join our team. As a valued member, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey.
About the Role:
* This is an entry-level employment opportunity for individuals with personal lived experience of mental health challenges.
* The successful candidate will be currently undertaking or intending to undertake the Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.
* They will participate in a comprehensive orientation program and be placed within different teams supported by an experienced peer mentor.
* Key responsibilities include participating in team meetings, gaining understanding of administrative processes, developing documentation skills, and receiving mentoring in delivering 1:1 peer support and facilitating peer support groups.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current certification or intention to pursue the Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.
* Lived experience of mental illness, substance dependence, family violence, or trauma.
* Ability to work collaboratively, form healthy relationships, manage own wellbeing, and seek support when needed.
