Job Description Area/Sub Function:
- Responds to and resolves incidents for customer issues or monitoring alerts
- Building diagnostic and analytical tools
- Building systems/site monitoring tools for system health and APIs to ensure smooth operations of production systems
- Configuring and integrating commercially available monitoring tools into the production systems
- Validate and Verify software deliverables for production readiness
- Risk assessment and mitigation of changes to the production systems
- Working experience in using AWS and or Open source tools to troubleshoot applications (resource constraints, connectivity, alerting, and monitoring)
- Ability to automate mundane tasks using shell scripts, python etc.
- Working Knowledge in basic networking and various application and transport protocols
- Experience working with one or more of the following: Splunk, Dynatrace, Zabbix, Prometheus, Sentry, Kibanna etc.
- Experience working with one or more of the following: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Experience working with messaging subsystems: Kafka, SQS, SMS
- Working experience working with Jenkins, GIT, GITHub
- Experience in developing Java applications
- Able to join and on call working rota for incidents outside standard working hours
