About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Receptionist/ Administration Officer with experience in the medical industry to join us on a casual basis. Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work available, no overnights or public holidays.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, as well as liaising with our 3 Support Offices and VMO rooms.You will:
* Ensure a high level of patient and visitor care, acting as the first point of contact for the hospital
* Ensure all admission and discharge documentation is accurately recorded
* Ensure all patient accounts are invoiced, receipted and reconciled
* Manage theatre bookings and ensure lists are distributed accordingly
* Liaise with health funds and complete checks
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital
About You:
You have a genuine passion for providing world‐class customer service and patient care, and adding value to Australian healthcare.You will have:
* Experience in an administrative role within a medical, healthcare or hospital setting essential
* A high level of computer / technical skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Patient Management Software
* Experience in FYDO or SimDay desirable but not essential
* Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, staff and other stakeholders
* Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
