Administrative Assistant | Accounts Payable
Position Description – National Bookkeeper and Accounts/Administrative Assistant (Finance Division). This Position Description is intended as a guide to the performance of your responsibilities and duties. In addition to the duties detailed below, you may be required to undertake other responsibilities and duties that are considered within your role and skill level. As a National Accounts Assistant you are responsible for supporting the accountants with day‐to‐day operational finance tasks and will report to the National Accountants & Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Daily processing of bank reconciliations for:
o Individual administration accounts
o Entity accounts
o Trust accounts
* Processing Trust account allocations and payments
* Allocation of Principal credit card expenses
* Preparing weekly/monthly payments
* Attending to stakeholder enquiries (including Principals, staff, suppliers, Government agencies, etc.)
* Other duties as directed from time to time.
Key Selection Criteria Qualifications
* Completion of Year 12
* Qualifications in Accounts Payable would be an advantage
Experience
* Experience in Bank Account Reconciliations and Accounts Payable is required
* Understanding of general ledger and general journals is desirable
* Knowledge of Xero and ApprovalMax would be of advantage
* Good computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
* Ability to manage time and set priorities
* Good verbal and written communication skills
Hours
8:30am to 3:00pm; Monday to Friday (28 hours per week).
Remuneration
The salary and superannuation package will be agreed with the successful applicant, taking into account skill level and experience.
