Executive Assistant to Chief Risk Officer

Base salary + super + extensive staff benefits

We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

The Executive Assistant to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) plays a crucial role supporting and assisting the executive, anticipating their needs in real time and foreseeing needs across several teams. You will manage and plan the day-to-day workflow for the Executives, support them, and hold responsibility for booking and managing travel and associated activities.

As one of the first points of contact, you will prioritise tasks based on urgency, intercept unnecessary interruptions, and ensure that general business continues smoothly. You will coordinate and present relevant information to the Executive in a concise format with attention to detail.

You will assist in decision-making processes and communicate outcomes or actions to the broader executive team and across the organization. The goal is a seamless transition between activities, initiatives, and meetings, with proper execution of decisions.

The role may also involve coordinating and supporting the execution of organization-wide projects and initiatives.

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Melbourne Head Office. We offer flexible work options, including a hybrid model with a minimum of three days per week (60%) in the office.

What you’ll bring to the role

To be successful, we are looking for:

* Experience supporting executives or senior management (essential)
* Experience in Banking & Finance or Government (Regulatory) industry
* Understanding of and experience with a Risk Division/Department, including reporting cycles, Co-Sec, Board, and Regulatory (advantageous)
* High level of discretion and confidentiality
* Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of the Executive and Leadership Team
* Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent planning, time management, and problem-solving skills
* Effective written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
* Experience preparing agendas, minutes, and briefing notes
* Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro (PDF)
* Adaptability and flexibility, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
* Knowledge of Bank’s policies, procedures, and structural frameworks (highly regarded)
