Process Assistant, Pick PA Back end Days

We’re seeking an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Dandenong for a Day shift. The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager and hold responsibilities specific to your process path.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Support and work in Pick and other departments as required.
- Help support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, and assigning job duties.
- Provide coverage for Area Managers.
- Follow up on policy and track attendance (duties do not extend to discipline).
- Track and report ATS/labor hours.
- Assist the floor as an associate resource, train associates and verify SOP compliance.
- Ensure successful area performance through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance.
- Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity.
- Have a full understanding of workflow and daily production goals.
- Assist in keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Identify and address safety hazards within the work area.
- Coach associates to work safely at all times.
- Refer all job injuries immediately to the area manager.
Basic Qualifications
- Work a versatile schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
- Experience in team leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members.
- Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience directly managing others.
- Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail).
- Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement.
