Improvement and development of the Monash Health Aboriginal Health and Engagement program is an organisational priority. We work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to develop and implement strategies, programs, and initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of patients and employees, close the gap on health inequity and provide culturally safe environments and care.
**About The Role**
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Aboriginal Health and Engagement team at Monash Health. This important administrative role provides high level administrative support to the Director, Aboriginal Health and Engagement as well as across the broader team.
Some of the role's tasks include:
- Administratively supporting the Director in diary management and scheduling
- Working collaboratively with project officers and Managers for Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Services and Community Services
- Supporting and completion of billing and invoicing
- Providing secretariat support to meetings
- Ordering of office supplies and IT equipment
**About You**
You will have experience in administrative roles, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a supportive busy team. Your technical skills include well developed computer skills and high-level knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software, particularly office and excel.
You must be passionate about supporting and advocating for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and dedicated to improving health outcomes for this priority population group.
What You Need:
- experience in a similar role with the ability to prioritise own workload, multiple tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a health care team
- well-developed computer skills and knowledge of common software programs including the Microsoft Office suite
- clear, kind, and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
- current Working with Children's Check
- current Police Check
- current Immunisations
- previous experience and understanding of a large health care organisation would be advantageous
