We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Administration Officer to join our growing Finance & HR team in Dandenong South.

About the Role

This is a key role responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and HR administration across a national workforce in a fast-paced transport and logistics environment.

You will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting essential HR processes including onboarding, contracts, recruitment coordination and employee records management.

Key responsibilities

* End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payroll
* Interpretation of industrial awards (transport/logistics preferred)
* Processing timesheets, allowances, overtime, leave and payroll adjustments
* Ensuring compliance with ATO, STP, superannuation and payroll legislation
* Responding to payroll and HR queries from employees and managers
* Supporting onboarding, inductions, employment contracts and records management
* Assisting with recruitment administration (offers, reference checks, paperwork)
* Payroll reporting, reconciliations and audit support
* Maintaining accurate employee data and HR systems

About You

* Minimum 5 years' end-to-end payroll experience
* Experience working in high-volume payroll environments
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (Fair Work, STP, superannuation, PAYG)
* Experience interpreting complex awards (transport/logistics highly desirable)
* HR administration experience (onboarding, contracts, records management)
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Confident using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Reliable, organised and able to manage competing priorities
