When emergencies strike, speed and clarity are everything. We're looking for an organised and confident Acquisition Specialist to help keep our humanitarian funding pipeline moving while a team member is on parental leave.
In this role, you'll help coordinate fast‐moving humanitarian funding opportunities, support our Field Offices, and bring together the right people to deliver strong, timely proposals.

You'll be at the centre of live humanitarian opportunities, helping shape submissions that directly support urgent responses. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues and Field Offices, contributing to decisions that need to happen quickly and thoughtfully.
What you'll be doing
Lead humanitarian funding submissions
* Bring together the right team for each opportunity
* Coordinate timelines, inputs, reviews and final submission
* Help shape clear, high‐quality proposals and budgets
Support DFAT/AHP emergency activations
* Act as a key point of coordination during activation periods
* Share updates, set timelines, and organise meetings with Field Offices
* Support rapid "light touch" submissions when deadlines are extremely tight
* Ensure risk, safeguarding and compliance are clearly addressed
Keep our pipeline organised
* Prepare Go/No‐Go documentation and ensure approvals happen quickly
* Keep opportunity information up to date for decision‐making
Strengthen Field Office readiness
* Help Field Offices understand activation steps and what strong submissions look like
* Provide clear coordination and guidance across multiple contributors
About you
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
* Experience leading proposal or bid processes under tight deadlines
* Strong writing and editing skills
* Experience with government or institutional donors (DFAT/AHP a bonus)
* Confidence working across cultures and time zones
* A calm, practical approach when things move fast
