About This Role

* Utilise your accounting expertise to provide support and advice to the Safety Wellbeing and Compliance branch
* A fixed-term, full-time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service until 30th June 2027
* VPS Grade 3: $79,122 - $96,073 plus superannuation.

About The Business Unit
People, Safety, Culture and Communications' core functions span the breadth of workplace cultural and people matters, including human resource policy and strategy; organisational culture and change; recruitment, redeployment and retention; performance and development; pay, benefits and workforce reporting; occupational health and safety management; and employment regulations.

About The Role
The WorkCover Payroll Administration Officer sits within Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance, a branch within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's People, Safety, Culture and Communications unit.

Some Of Your Duties Will Include

* Undertaking WorkCover claim administration and calculation of weekly WorkCover payments
* Processing all relevant WorkCover payments, including weekly and "Top Up" payments in CHRIS21
* Entering and maintaining relevant leave records in CHRIS21 / Time Target.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

* Experience in using the use of payroll systems CHRIS21, including Time Target, is strongly desired
* Experience in processing workers compensation payments is strongly desired.

Qualifications/Requirements

* A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is not essential however would be highly regarded.
