About
the role Based in our
Melbourne office (but with up to two days working from home once
fully trained), this role provides high level administrative
support to a small team (including a partner, special counsel and
lawyer as well as various rotating clerks and graduates throughout
the year).
This
Restructuring and Insolvency / Commercial litigation team acts for
Australia's largest banks and financial institutions on a range of
commercial litigation, insolvency, turnaround and securities
enforcement matters across a broad range of
industries.
The general
day to day duties of this role include: Providing high level administrative support to the partner, fee earners and clients.
Managing client files from start to finish with accuracy and efficiency.
Preparing and formatting correspondence, contracts, and court documents.
Confidently liaising with clients, taking instructions, and handling enquiries.
Coordinating diaries, meetings, and occasional travel for your team.
Managing confidential firm information, opening new matters and closing and archiving files.
Inputting and maintaining client data into client relationship software (InterAction).
Managing end of month billing processes.

What
we are looking for: The
successful applicant will have: A minimum of three years' experience in a Legal Secretary role (preferably in a commercial litigation practice area).
Strong file management skills An ability to take ownership of administrative, secretarial and client management support.
Initiative, and someone who will thrive on responsibility, juggling deadlines with ease.
A proactive, team-focused attitude.
Strong problem-solving skills Confident communication, and someone who enjoys working directly with clients.
Excellent Microsoft office skills with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly and efficiently.
A high level of attention to detail and accountability for the quality of work they produce.
