Girl Guides WA is part of Australia's largest youth organisation dedicated to empowering girls and young women.

Company Secretary Board Secretariat
The successful applicant will serve as a Company Secretary but not as a director, and therefore, the role has no voting rights.
Provide governance guidance and expertise to the Board.
Manage regulatory reporting obligations and serve as the main contact for ASIC and ACNC.
Coordinate Board agenda planning, minutes, papers and action tracking.
Lead preparation and delivery of the Annual General Meeting.
Support the Chair and Board with strategy day preparation and planning activities.
Ideal Candidate
Experience as a Company Secretary, governance professional or qualified lawyer.
AICD graduate or equivalent governance training.
Understanding of not-for-profit governance and regulatory obligations.
Strong organisational, communication and documentation skills.
Connection to the Guiding or Scouting community is welcome but not essential.
Commitment
Board meetings are held every two months, generally lasting around three hours, with approximately four hours of preparation required for each meeting.
Occasional ad-hoc meetings may be scheduled as needed.
Board members may also be invited to join a subcommittee or strategic working group aligned to their expertise.
Time commitments vary depending on the activity.
Attendance at the Annual Planning Day, Annual General Meeting and the Annual Awards Event is strongly encouraged.
Mandatory Requirements
National Police Check (apply through Girl Guides WA).
Girl Guides Australia child-safety and induction training (completed as part of onboarding).
