**Your new role**
In your new role as a Business Solutions Recoveries Associate, you will be responsible for working with small business customers who have fallen behind and are experiencing long term financial difficulties. To effectively perform this role, you are required to work with the customer, internal and external stakeholders to determine a long-term solution that would benefit both the customer and NAB. This is a telephone-based portfolio management role.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage accounts that have fallen overdue or are non-compliant with the terms and conditions of a contract.
- Communicate with influence by negotiating arrangements with customers in sometimes adverse and complex circumstances.
- Build working relationships with Bankers, NAB Assist Customer Care, external legal service providers, internal legal, credit and risk to create strategies for assisting customers.
- Assist with the management of complex/defended matters, AFCA and Internal Dispute Resolution matters.
- Effectively manage a portfolio by adhering to all processes and procedures pertinent to the role and regularly contacting customers to cure accounts in a timely manner that have fallen overdue.
- Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified.
- Ability to understand complex business structures e.g., companies, partnerships, sole traders.
- Assess lending credit submissions for lending restructures and/or security discharges.
This role is a 12-month temporary assignment with the view to go permanent or have contract extensions with NAB. You will be working from Monday to Friday from 8 am - 5pm or 8:30pm to 5:30 pm, averaging 38-hour weeks. Your hourly rate will be $39.80 plus super. Location of work is at 700 Bourke Street Docklands and there is a hybrid working arrangement.
