Nurse Unit Manager - Recovery
As a leader of the nursing team, the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is at the forefront of the provision of high quality nursing care to patients within the multidisciplinary recovery environment through effective leadership, management of staff and resources, and the development of partnerships with all the disciplines working within the Austin Operating Suite.
We are seeking an innovative and experienced individual to job-share with the substantive NUM for a 12 month period.

The Recovery Unit is one of Austin Hospital's critical care environments. It has a 24-bed capacity and 18 of the patient care bays have physiological monitoring. The unit includes 2 Recovery High Dependency (RHD) Beds, an isolation room, and paediatric facilities. The area is primarily for postoperative and post procedure care and has close links with the Intensive Care Unit and the Surgery and Endoscopy Centre (SAEC).

Skills & Experience & Essential Criteria

Successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent**:
- ** Registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia**:
- ** Completion of Post graduate studies in Perianaesthesia nursing or equivalent**:
- ** Demonstrated high level management skills**:
- ** Demonstrated operational management skillset, key principle understanding and knowledge of financial, workforce, activity and access and safety and quality domains**:
- ** Demonstrated skills and experience to manage a Recovery Unit**:
- ** A commitment to high quality, safe and person centred patient care**
Desirable

Post graduate qualification at Masters Level or working towards**:
