**Our journey**
The **Victorian Heart Hospital** will be Australia's first dedicated heart hospital and is nearing its final stages of construction. It will include a full range of ambulatory and inpatient cardiac care, including cardiac theatres, cardiac catheterisation laboratories, emergency, intensive care, and ambulatory services such as cardiac CT, echocardiography and specialist consultation. It will also feature a unique, patient centred model of care. The Victorian Heart Hospital will also play a key role in advancing research and teaching and will be home to the Victorian Heart Institute, a brand new, health and medical research organisation at Monash University.
As a **Monash Health** hospital, the **Victorian Heart Hospital** will be uniquely positioned to provide tailored cardiovascular care for all Victorians, and specialised life-saving procedures for our community. Upon completion, Australia's first cardiac hospital will deliver a new **Monash Health** standard in model of care and patient care experience.
**Ambulatory Cardiac Services Victorian Heart Hospital**
The **Ambulatory Cardiac Services** will be one of the largest programs in the **Victorian Heart Hospital** and will deliver an innovative model of care, provide a comprehensive range of acute and chronic cardiac consulting services. **Ambulatory Cardiac Services** will be a 'one stop shop' providing patients with an efficient, streamlined, and integrated approach to the patient journey within a multidisciplinary team, through vastly reduced duplication, patient movements and standardisation of care. The **Ambulatory Clinics** will be supported by a new purpose built EMR module that includes a scheduling and booking system, automated outpatient workflows specific to clinic type, patient communication portal and patient check-in kiosk.

Yours is a pivotal role in creating an excellent first impression and an ambassador of our **Ambulatory Services** at the **Victorian Heart Hospital**. The **Administration officer** is also key to optimum patient care and actively contributes to the functioning of the unit. Passionate about and genuinely interested in helping others, often in a challenging situation, is what drives you to provide exceptional support to our patients and their families. As the first point contact, a welcoming manner with clear communication skills combined with empathy and patience is essential for this role. This is a multifaceted role requiring a range of administrative duties to be completed in a timely, accurate and positive manner. Duties include reception, clerical, governance reporting and ambulatory data and activity for each point of care are accurately captured to meet standards and regulations and ensure best patient outcomes at all times.

**What you bring**
Working closely with a passionate **Ambulatory **multidisciplinary team, you also bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- previous experience greeting and attending to patients in person or by telephone
- ability to record information accurately and in a timely manner including registering patient information, admissions, discharges and booking interpreters and transport
- sound computer skills to undertake a variety of administrative tasks including intermediate Microsoft Office suite and experience with Patient Management Systems e.g. EMR, iPM, SMR, Healthtrack, Healthlink
- excellent customer services skills and ability to remain calm and helpful in a challenging or changing environment.
