The Group will provide business-enabling people, legal and corporate services functions to drive a high-performance culture and support integrated operations and portfolio-wide programs, driving delivery of DTP’s operating model.RoleThe Deputy Secretary People, Legal and Governance is a newly created role that will lead the development, implementation, and management of processes, systems, and tools that support key functions within legal services, business operations, human resource management, governance, ministerial services, risk, audit, and compliance activities. The role will oversee critical areas including legislative reform, public law, and operations, ensuring operational success and continuous improvement. The Deputy Secretary will drive strategic initiatives to improve departmental efficiency, ensure governance and compliance, manage large-scale reform efforts, identify and manage risk, and align people strategies with organisational objectives.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will bring senior executive leadership experience in the provision of legal services, HR, governance, compliance frameworks, and business operations. You will be able to demonstrate proven success in leading organisational reform and large-scale change initiatives and will be experienced in fostering effective relationships with stakeholders and Ministers. Proven success in building organisational capability and driving continuous improvement will also be critical.
