To develop appropriate / robust workout/recovery action and strategies for maximum recovery from all non-performing loan and non-performing financing in MDV.2. To ensure the recovery action and processes comply with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements including insolvency framework thus contributing towards the realization of MDV's profitability targets and overall growth and viability. To be familiar with corporate rescue mechanisms.Job DescriptionLead the Asset Management Department (AMD), including talent development, performance tracking, and team motivation.Formulate effective recovery strategies and workout plans for NPL/NPF accounts to maximize recoveries and mitigate credit losses.Oversee the rehabilitation of delinquent portfolios and convert them into performing assets where feasible.Provide regular updates and insights to the Management, Board Financing & Investment Committee (BFIC), and Board of Directors (BOD) on the status and strategy for defaulted accounts.Ensure all Recovery and Rehabilitation activities are updated timely in AMD Report.Analyze borrower financials, repayment ability, collateral strength, and credit risks to determine optimal recovery approach.Ensure strict compliance with internal credit policies, SOPs, and external regulatory requirements, including Shariah compliance where applicable.Rehabilitate delinquent portfolio and turn it into performing accounts.Lead negotiations with defaulting clients, including restructuring of facilities and legal resolution pathways.Act as a key advisor on insolvency proceedings, liquidation, receivership, and other recovery options involving corporate rescue frameworks.Cascade and monitor departmental annual and monthly recovery targets.Develop tactical recovery plans for shortfall scenarios and ensure execution through respective teams.Ensure timely updates to SOPs and internal documentation in line with governance requirements.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. legal, auditors, regulators) as part of the recovery process.Provide tactical guidance to the team on non-performing loan restructuring matters to optimize the recovery value.Review all credit papers and AMD reports prior to submission to Chief Financial Officer and BOD/BFIC/MFIC.Evaluate impact of Shariah compliance requirement towards MDV's products and services.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Investment, or equivalent.ACCA or professional qualifications (e.g. CPA/ ICAEW/ CFA/ IBBM's CCP) is also preferred.Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate recovery, loan workout, or special asset management within banking, DFIs, or financial institutions.In-depth understanding of credit analysis, corporate restructuring, rescheduling/rescheduling (R&R) frameworks, and enforcement strategies.Familiarity with Malaysia’s insolvency laws and corporate rescue mechanisms, including CDRC and judicial management.Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and decision-making skills.Phone bill & purchase benefitAnnual leave 21 daysStudy and exam leave 10 daysCompassionate leave 10 daysMarriage leave 5 daysMaternity benefitOutpatient and hospitalization benefit for self and immediate familyAllowance for Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas and MerdekaHybrid working arrangementSeniority levelSeniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionFinance and OtherReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad by 2xGet notified about new Vice President Asset Management jobs in Greater Kuala Lumpur.AVP, Asset, Liability, Management & Treasury RiskWP.
