Job Opportunity
As a Senior Lived Experience Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting consumers in their recovery journey by providing hope for recovery and peer support. You will have lived experience of and sustained recovery from an eating disorder.
* Assist with meal support and social eating outings, fostering a sense of community and understanding.
* Lead group sessions from own lived experience, guiding others through their own journeys, and co-facilitate other groups as appropriate, leveraging your skills to create a positive impact.
* Provide one-to-one peer support sessions via phone or telehealth, offering a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to share their experiences.
Key Requirements
* Lived experience of an eating disorder, enabling you to empathize with those struggling.
* Sustained recovery from an eating disorder for a minimum of 2 years, demonstrating resilience and dedication to your own well-being.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Lived or living experience role (or equivalent type), showcasing your ability to navigate complex situations.
* Completion of (or willingness to undertake) Intentional Peer Support (IPS) Training, highlighting your commitment to ongoing professional development.
