Recovery Navigator Role
As a Recovery Navigator, you will utilize your personal experience of substance use and recovery to provide support to individuals navigating their own paths.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals, peer workers, and community partners, you will offer hope, share insights, and provide practical and emotional support to empower individuals to build confidence, strengthen connections, and work towards their recovery and well-being goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draw upon personal experience of substance use and recovery to support others
* Collaborate with clinicians, peer workers, and community partners
* Provide hope, share insights, and offer practical and emotional support
* Help individuals build confidence and strengthen relationships
* Support individuals in achieving their recovery and well-being objectives
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant qualification in a health or welfare-related field (desirable but not essential)
* Certificate IV in AOD or completion of Alcohol and Other Drug core competencies (or willingness to complete within 24 months of employment)
* Personal experience of substance use and accessing public AOD services
* Demonstrated ability to support clients and families affected by problematic alcohol and drug use in a respectful, compassionate, and positive manner
* Experience in a similar role (AOD or mental health support) is desirable but not essential

* Salary equivalent to SCHADS Level 3.4 + superannuation
