We are seeking a resourceful, digitally literate and culturally attuned Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Dean of Monash Art Design and Architecture – a contemporary collaborative and values-driven leader.
Responsibilities
This role offers core responsibilities such as complex calendar and travel coordination, supporting high-level meetings and events, and streamlining office operations. In addition, you will contribute to areas that reflect the creative and outward-facing nature of the Faculty, including:
Acting as a key liaison with external partners across the creative, cultural and design industries
Supporting stakeholder and relationship management initiatives and cultivating strong internal networks across the University
Assisting with the Dean's digital and social media presence, including drafting content and amplifying Faculty activities
Helping shape communications, presentations and events that reflect the Faculty's creative identity
About You
You are a curious and proactive professional with a strong grounding in administration and executive support complemented by experience in a creative, cultural or design-related environment. You might come from a background as a studio manager, communications/operations lead or arts management and you are eager to bring that versatility, a sharp eye for detail, problem-solving mindset and emotional intelligence to a university setting.
Qualifications
Outstanding organisational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities in fast-paced contexts
Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to draft content for diverse audiences and digital platforms
Confidence in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders from senior university leaders to cultural and industry partners
The ability to plan, support and deliver events with confidence and finesse
Initiative, adaptability and a collaborative mindset with a drive to learn and grow in the role
