This role requires high level administrative and operational support to one of La Trobe's Research Institutes, contributing to the delivery of strategic objectives and service improvement in our priority areas of clinical health, health equity and the care economy.
The position involves planning and coordinating resources, preparing reports, supporting stakeholders, and maintaining quality service standards.
Reporting to the Institute Manager, the role requires strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage workflows and contribute to broader operational goals.
The position also supports cross functional team activities and fosters collaboration across the University.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have: A degree with relevant experience leading to either the development of specialist expertise or to the development of broad knowledge in an administrative field or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise developed through extensive relevant experience and application.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.
A demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projects.
Experience working within a university environment.
Experience working within the health and/or care and support services sector.
High level attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills.
