Overview

Full time ongoing opportunity in Clayton. Support participants with mental health challenges in a short-term residential setting.

$43.08 – 46.35 phr (SCHADS Level 4B) + Leave loading + Super + Salary packaging.

About The Program

PARC is a step up, step down short-stay residence that provides clinical and psychosocial support to participants, to prevent the need for hospitalisation or after an inpatient stay to support ongoing recovery. All our recovery services value cultural diversity, support and create opportunities for recovery, value peer participation, and leadership and are underpinned by evidence-based best practice. PARCs operate 24/7 on a rotating roster and penalty rates apply for afternoon and weekend hours.

About The Opportunity

The Senior Recovery Worker reports to the Program Manager and plays a key role in mentoring and supporting the ongoing development of the PARC team, monitoring the quality of the program and working with PARC participants both within the keywork model and in a group setting. You will assist community members by having a great understanding of what they require to successfully meet their recovery goals. With an understanding of members with mental health issues and resilience, you will be able to motivate them to make changes within their lives. Our multidisciplinary recovery teams are creative, motivated and focused on ensuring positive experiences for participants and their loved ones.

To be successful in this role

* Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health, AOD or related field OR tertiary qualifications in social science or related discipline (current studies also considered)
* Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
* Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
* Right to Work within Australia
* Satisfactory National Police Records Check
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
